About the Brand This is a modern niche fashion label that is a mix of streetwear and high-end lifestyle, not just merch. The focus is on premium design, sharp aesthetics, and wearable looks that feel as relevant on special occasions. The brand blends nostalgia with contemporary style to create pieces that tap into passion, identity, and culture.
The team is small, fast, and highly collaborative. Everyone operates with a high degree of ownership, moves quickly, and is comfortable stepping outside a narrow job description when it’s what the business needs. Agility, strong judgment, and an instinct for “what’s next” are core to how they work.
The Role The Social Media & Content Manager will own the brand’s social presence end-to-end. You will set the strategy, shape the creative, produce content, engage the community, and report on performance. This is a hands-on role: you’re as comfortable planning a multi-week content rollout as you are grabbing the camera, cutting a reel, or writing sharp social copy on a tight turnaround.
You’re equal parts creative and analytical—you understand how to tell a compelling story, and you know how to build, grow, and activate an audience across platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Social Strategy & Channel Ownership
- Develop and lead the social media strategy across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, X, and emerging channels, with clear roles, goals, and content pillars for each.
- Turn brand priorities—product launches, capsules, collaborations, and cultural moments—into channel-specific plans with defined KPIs and success metrics.
- Continuously track social platform changes, creative trends, and broader internet culture within fashion and sports, prioritizing actions that meaningfully impact reach, engagement, and growth.
- Keep a strong pulse on professional sports and sports-adjacent culture, including storylines, key dates, and marquee matchups, and quickly translate relevant moments into timely, on-brand content.
- Oversee day-to-day posting, scheduling, optimization, and general channel hygiene.
- Actively manage comments, DMs, and mentions with a community-first mindset while protecting and evolving the brand voice.
Content Strategy & Creation
- Concept and execute social-first ideas that feel elevated, culturally fluent, and native to each platform while reinforcing a consistent brand identity.
- Own the content calendar from weekly planning to daily execution, with the ability to pivot quickly when cultural or sports moments break.
- Write sharp, on-brand captions and scripts that feel confident, current, and approachable.
- Capture behind-the-scenes and in-the-moment content across shoots, office life, events, and activations, identifying storylines and moments that will perform well socially.
- Plan and lead social content days, including briefs, shot lists, run-of-show, coordination with talent and vendors, and on-set direction when needed.
- Use intermediate-level photo and video editing skills to quickly turn raw footage into polished, platform-ready content.
Influencer, Creator, & Gifting Support
- Support influencer and creator initiatives, including researching talent, building outreach lists, coordinating product sends, and tracking outcomes.
- Identify and surface creators who sit at the intersection of fashion, lifestyle, and culture and who feel authentic to the brand.
- Monitor and catalog top-performing influencer content and UGC, and integrate approved assets into the content mix in a strategic way.
Reporting, Insights & Optimization
- Own reporting across engagement, reach, follower growth, saves, shares, and other key metrics.
- Generate insights and recommendations based on performance data: what to double down on, what to evolve, and what to test next.
- Partner closely with marketing leadership to refine strategy, set targets, and iterate on content and channel approaches over time.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years running social media for a fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or adjacent consumer brand.
- Demonstrated success in growing and engaging social audiences through high-quality, consistent content.
- Deep working knowledge of Instagram and TikTok—formats, algorithms, trends, analytics, and growth levers; familiarity with Pinterest, Facebook, and X is a plus.
- Hands-on experience producing content for brand channels, including self-shooting and editing.
- Comfort being on camera and occasionally appearing in content when it strengthens the story or connection with the audience.
- Strong project management skills: able to manage calendars, deadlines, and details with reliability and follow-through.
- Clear, concise communicator who can collaborate across marketing, creative, and leadership teams and present ideas backed by data and insight.
- Solid understanding of sports and sports culture with a willingness to deepen knowledge across leagues, teams, and athletes to inform concepts and timing.
- Genuine interest in the convergence of fashion, fandom, and culture.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with athletes, teams, leagues, or sports-focused communities.
- Background in product storytelling, launch calendars, and content that supports conversion and drop culture.
- Prior exposure to influencer programs, seeding, or creator partnerships from the brand side.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You operate with high ownership and don’t wait for step-by-step instructions—you identify opportunities and run with them.
- You have strong creative taste and understand the difference between fleeting content and work that builds long-term brand equity.
- You move quickly but hold a high bar for quality—“good and fast” is your standard.
- You show sound judgment and know what feels on-brand versus off-tone, even in fast-moving situations.
- You are endlessly curious—constantly scanning culture, creators, and trends and translating that awareness into smart, brand-right execution.
