Social Media Community Builder

Our sprouted buckwheat isn't just a snack (though it's a great one!)- it's the perfect crunchy, nutrient-dense topping for smoothies, yogurt bowls, acai bowls, and more. We make crave-worthy products that fuel your day without the fluff. We're a small but mighty team that’s passionate about good food, good vibes, and growing a community that’s as excited about buckwheat as we are!
Position Overview: We're looking for a creative Community Builder to be the official voice, personality, and #1 fan of the Lil' Bucks community. You'll be the person behind the screen, living in our comments, DMs, and mentions, turning casual followers into loyal super-fans.
This role is perfect for a social-native content whiz who loves building community, hopping on trends, and (of course) healthy buckwheat snacks! You'll be the pulse of our brand online, working closely with the marketing team to drive engagement, foster loyalty, and help us grow.
Key Responsibilities:
Community Management
- Own our community presence and consistent brand voice across TikTok, Instagram, and TYB (with future expansion to Meta and Pinterest).
- Live in the comments section: Reply, engage, and surprise fans with our fun, witty, and helpful brand voice.
- Engage with other like-minded brands and creators to build our online presence and foster community.
- Manage and organize all reposts when we're tagged in Stories, posts, or TikToks (with the help of our SMM/Affiliate platforms).
- Monitor and manage DMs, answering customer questions with speed and personality.
- Proactively search for brand mentions and user-generated content (UGC) that isn't tagged.
- Identify and build relationships with "super-fans," finding creative ways to surprise and delight them.
Influencer/Affiliate Management:
- Assist with influencer/affiliate seeding campaigns- DMing, tracking, and following up with creators in our organized database (Social Snowball).
- Actively scout for new, on-brand creators who would genuinely love Lil' Bucks and meticulously track all outreach.
- Coordinate reposts, UGC features, and branded partnerships, ensuring all content aligns with our brand look and feel.
- TYB Platform Management
- Own our TYB community platform, including creating and posting new challenges to keep our members engaged.
Content Creation Support:
- Capture low-lift, social-first content (photos or videos) of product usage (smoothie bowls, unboxings, textures) to support the content calendar.
- Assist with content editing by helping stitch together UGC or basic video edits.
- Bring fresh content ideas to brainstorm sessions based on what you are seeing in the community comments.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years managing brand or creator social media (internships included).
- Proficiency in TikTok and Instagram (TYB and emerging platforms are a bonus).
- A natural, witty, and empathetic communicator with a knack for adopting a specific brand voice.
- Organizational skills- you love a good spreadsheet, a clean inbox, and a clear follow-up plan.
- A passion for food, wellness, and the CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) space.
- A proactive, "can-do" attitude. You don't wait to be told what to do; you see an opportunity and take it.
Bonus: food content experience or a personal social following that shows your creative chops.
Pay: $25/hour
