Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Writer to join our creative team. Duties
- Develop well-structured written content tailored to target audiences across multiple platforms.
- Proofread and copy edit drafts to ensure clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guides such as AP Style and the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Edit existing content for accuracy, tone, and consistency while maintaining the original voice.
- Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to support content accuracy and credibility.
- Write compelling articles, blog posts, proposals, technical documents, and creative pieces as needed.
- Collaborate with editors, designers, and subject matter experts to refine content and meet project deadlines.
- Utilize word processing tools efficiently for drafting, editing, and formatting documents.
- Apply strong communication skills to interpret project requirements and deliver polished final products.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in writing, editing, or journalism with a portfolio demonstrating versatility across different formats.
- Proficiency in proofreading, copy editing, and editing with a solid understanding of AP Style and the Chicago Manual of Style.
- Strong research skills with the ability to verify facts accurately.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with technical writing, proposal writing, copywriting, and creative writing is preferred.
- Experience with word processing software such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs.
- Knowledge of AP style guidelines and experience in journalistic or professional writing environments is desirable.
