Job Title: Junior Web Developer (Full-Time)
Location: Hybrid (remote and in our Allentown office)

We are looking for a Junior Web Developer to join our team and support the Web Director in both front-end and back-end development, as well as assist in maintaining and monitoring our clients’ websites.
Position Overview:
As a Junior Web Developer, you will play a vital role in assisting with the development, maintenance, and monitoring of custom WordPress websites. Working closely with the Web Director, you’ll contribute to building responsive, high-performance websites while gaining valuable experience in both front-end and back-end web development. You will also be responsible for performing monthly maintenance tasks for websites and ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and performing optimally. This is an entry-level position, offering the chance to grow and develop your skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Web Director in the front-end and back-end development of custom WordPress websites.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks for existing websites, including updating content, plugins, themes, and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Monitor hosting plans and ensure websites are running smoothly and securely.
- Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code.
- Test websites for functionality, cross-browser compatibility, and responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise.
- Assist in optimizing website performance, SEO, and speed.
- Communicate effectively with the team and clients to provide status updates and resolve issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and web development technologies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A foundational understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Familiarity with WordPress and the basics of WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations.
- A strong desire to learn and grow in the web development field.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a hybrid work environment.
- Some formal educational training in web development or a related field (e.g., computer science, web development bootcamps, etc.).
- A proactive attitude, with the ability to problem-solve and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional but a Bonus):
- Prior work experience (internships, freelance, or previous employment) in web development or WordPress.
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with SASS.
- Basic understanding of custom WordPress theme development and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, In Design or Photoshop.
- Knowledge of website hosting and basic server management.
