We are looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer with experience in socks and/or hosiery, for a fashion company in New York, NY. This position operates 5 days onsite in NYC Office.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Design/Concept teams to establish graphic/pattern/color/trend direction and interpret into artwork appropriate for sock brands
- Create and illustrate print, graphics and knit patterns using CAD tools
- Update tech packs in PLM
- Provide production ready artwork, in both print and electronic format, for internal and external partners
- Research and create new trends in graphic design and production techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Design or Graphic Design (or equivalent experience in Knitwear CAD Design
- At least 3-5+ years of related print and pattern/graphic design experience
- Expertise in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop required
- Strong sense of color for the creation of color ways and the ability to match colors accurately
- Ability to act as liaison between many departments: excellent communication and analytic skills
