Job Brief: Visual Communications Designer
Contract/Temporary: Temporary Resource
Length: Approx 6months
Reporting to: CEO
Urgent: QBR, proposal (huge project), All-Hands, pitch deck for sales, and other materials are due soon.
They need someone fairly experienced. No training. Has done this before. Produced high quality content. A lot of slides, and presentation materials. Product related, sales, company (QBR and such). Working daily with the CEO. Someone who can take what the CEO says, and put on paper his vision. Very cooperative style.
Could be extended (no promises, but there is an opportunity). They don’t have to be on-site, but it would be best if on-site. They need to be very responsible if off-site. Flexibility with hours is important.
Work experience needed: no industry in specific, but need to understand the structure of a corporation. Clean, modern look, but need to understand they are making material for a CEO. Collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
Skills: google slides and ppt. Who can build, charts, icons, and the imagery needed using Adobe, Canva, etc. Almost like a PM as they need to go after people to get the information they need.
Need to send their portfolio.
Nice to have: video content creation. Knowledge of construction and manufacturing.
Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer to create visually compelling and professional presentations using Google Slides and PowerPoint. This role is supporting our CEO and executive team to turn ideas into visually compelling presentations. Ideal for a creative professional with a strong background in graphic design, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex ideas into visually engaging slides.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality presentations in Google Slides and PowerPoint that align with company brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with the stakeholders to understand presentation objectives, target audiences, and content requirements.
- Transform raw content and ideas into polished slides with clean layouts, graphics, and typography.
- Create custom templates, charts, icons, and infographics to enhance storytelling and clarity.
- Ensure consistency in design across all slides and adherence to company branding.
- Revise and iterate designs based on feedback, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
- Be relevant to the latest design trends, tools, and best practices for presentation design.
- Project manage slide decks coordinate content.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in designing professional presentations using Google Slides and PowerPoint.
- Strong graphic design skills, including a solid understanding of layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Proficiency in design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Ability to create custom graphics, icons, and visual elements to enhance presentations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and executive team, including CEO
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work, including examples of presentation slides.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment or with tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with designing for a corporate or professional audience.
- Experience with video content creation and editing is a nice to have
