About the Gig:
We’re seeking a freelance Senior Social Strategist to support several exciting projects slated for Q1 and Q2. You’ll work across departments to craft compelling content strategies, drive social-first thinking, and ensure alignment between creative concepts and platform best practices. Whether it’s collaborating on creative briefs, analyzing social insights, or guiding influencer integrations, your contributions will help our clients stand out in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape. Core Responsibilities:
- Social Media Authority: Proven expertise in social media & familiarity with today’s most popular platforms
- Brief Writing: Compose creative briefs for social-first campaigns.
- Content Strategy Creation: Leverage the agency’s model to develop content strategies for clients.
- Innovation & Inspiration: Drive social strategy, research, and communications innovation within the agency and with clients.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments:
- Strategy/Insights Team: Elevate strategic offerings with your expertise.
- Account Team: Help build trust and transparency with client organizations.
- Creative and Production Team: Help develop campaigns that break through in culture and are built for social platforms.
- Paid Media Teams: Inform media planning with insights on the best social platforms and ad units based on client objectives.
- Third-Party Influencer Management Team: Identify opportunities for influencer use, define specific goals and deliverables, and measure influencer results.
- Facilitation: Develop campaign roll-out plans, content calendars, agency POVs, and other tactical social strategy deliverables.
- Intelligence Gathering: Conduct social listening to inform briefs or report on campaigns. Analyze organic and paid social results and relate them to overall business outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience at a creative or media agency is preferred.
- Advanced marketing knowledge of major and emerging social and digital media channels, including their products, user behaviors, and commerce capabilities.
- Deep understanding of consumer media behaviors and their integration into daily lives, cultures, interests, and marketing journeys.
- Experience with paid social media planning & influencer marketing
- Proven ability to inspire and excite creatives to generate innovative, social-media-driven ideas.
- Strong analytical skills to extract meaningful insights from data strategy, social listening, client stakeholders, or research.
