About Zora Digital

Zora Digital is a digital marketing agency that blends data, creativity, and technology to help brands grow. Since 2016, we’ve helped organizations connect with their audiences, strengthen their digital presence, and turn marketing insights into measurable results.

We’re analytical and creative. Strategic but hands-on. We believe great marketing starts with understanding people, asking better questions, and using data to make smarter decisions.

As we grow our client roster and expand our work across digital marketing, technology, and AI, we’re building a network of talented independent professionals who bring fresh thinking and exceptional execution to every project.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for experienced freelance copywriters to join Zora Digital’s roster of independent contractors.

You’re a strong writer who knows how to make words work. You can turn a creative brief into compelling copy, adapt your voice to different brands and audiences, and balance creativity with strategic objectives. You understand that effective copy doesn’t just sound good; it moves people to think, feel, click, engage, or take action.

Our projects vary by client, industry, and scope. Depending on your expertise, assignments may include website copy, landing pages, email campaigns, social media content, SEO content, brand messaging, and digital advertising.

This is a project-based opportunity for freelancers interested in collaborating with Zora Digital as client needs arise. Joining our roster does not guarantee a minimum volume of work.

What You’ll Do

Depending on your expertise and the project, you may:

Develop persuasive, audience-focused copy for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, digital ads, and other marketing channels.
Translate marketing strategies, customer insights, and creative briefs into clear, engaging messaging.
Adapt tone, voice, and messaging to reflect each client's brand and objectives.
Write conversion-focused copy that supports measurable marketing goals.
Develop SEO-informed content that serves both search intent and the reader.
Create social media copy and content concepts tailored to individual platforms.
Research industries, audiences, competitors, and subject matter to develop relevant, credible content.
Collaborate with strategists, designers, developers, and other marketing professionals.
Incorporate feedback and deliver polished work on time and within the agreed project scope.
Use AI writing tools thoughtfully when appropriate, applying human judgment, fact-checking, and editorial rigor to the final work.

What We’re Looking For

You’re an experienced professional who brings both craft and strategy to the table.

A strong portfolio demonstrating professional copywriting experience across relevant formats and channels.
Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and storytelling skills.
The ability to write in different brand voices without losing clarity or originality.
A solid understanding of audience psychology, messaging, and marketing objectives.
The ability to interpret a brief, ask smart questions, and work independently.
Strong research skills and attention to detail.
Reliable communication, sound project management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
Comfort working remotely with a flexible, project-based team.
A willingness to collaborate, take feedback, and refine work without losing sight of the strategic goal.

Bonus points if you have experience in:

B2B, technology, SaaS, AI, consumer goods, eCommerce, automotive, or nonprofit marketing.
Conversion rate optimization, SEO, email marketing, or performance marketing.
Website content strategy, UX writing, or brand messaging.
AI-assisted writing and editorial workflows.

How the Engagement Works

Relationship: Independent contractor, not an employee.
Work arrangement: Remote and project-based.
Scheduling: Flexible, based on project requirements and agreed deadlines.
Compensation: Negotiated based on project scope, deliverables, experience, and agreed rates.
Availability: Assignments are offered as client projects become available. Work is not guaranteed.

Contractors are expected to manage their own schedules, communicate proactively, and deliver work that meets the agreed scope and quality standards.
