Our focus is art — we have multiple events, video courses, newsletters and magazines all about art and painting. We’re on a mission to teach millions of people who would never believe they could paint or draw — even if they currently have zero talent and can barely paint a stick figure!

Note: Not an artist? Not a problem — most of us on the team aren’t! That said, you’ll have complimentary personal access to hundreds of our online courses if you want to learn to paint! ;)

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE?

Every day will offer new opportunities to showcase your creativity and technical skills. You will focus on three (3) key areas:

1. POST-PRODUCTION & MANAGEMENT (ART COURSES)

Serve as the main point of contact for our freelance editors, offering support and solving technical issues;

Oversee quality control for PaintTube.tv course edits, focusing on video and audio standards;

Collaborate with freelance editors and lead producer to produce promotional materials for releases;

Prepare and deliver finalized video files to hosting platforms and DVD disc author services;

Create social media video content based on available promotional assets;

Other projects as assigned.

2. POST-PRODUCTION & CONTENT COORDINATION (EVENTS)

Coordinate with our partner artists to have them self-record art demonstration video segments for our virtual events;

Edit those demonstration videos to meet event format and content standards;

Produce promotional videos and supporting assets for events, including openings, bumpers, promos, special segments, etc;

Manage the video stream and technical aspects of our quarterly webinars, ensuring a professional and seamless viewing experience.

3. MARKETING & SOCIAL CONTENT

Edit high-energy promotional videos for live events and art courses based on existing video assets;

Produce engaging videos for our YouTube channel, focusing on content that educates, entertains, and encourages interaction and sharing;

Use producer notes to edit audio for our 2 interview-style podcasts;

Work collaboratively with the marketing team and other departments to develop innovative ideas and ensure our video content supports wider company campaigns and initiatives;

Coordinate the Art School Live YouTube channel, including uploading video content, monitoring feedback, and tracking analytics;

Undertake other projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever the team needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

You ideally have 3 – 5+ years experience in a hands-on video editing, post-production and digital content creation role, with a portfolio showcasing successful video projects;

Skilled in using video / audio editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, DaVinci Resolve) and simple graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop);

Stay on top of the latest trends in digital video and content creation, bringing innovative ideas to the table that can enhance our offerings;

Possess some proficiency in managing basic live video streams (Ecamm / Streamyard / etc);

Are available during regular business hours (8:30 am - 5 pm) for maximum collaboration with our team;

Thrive in the fast-paced environment of a small entrepreneurial business and prefer it to a slow corporate bureaucracy;

Have a genuine passion for video and digital media, with a desire to make art accessible and engaging to a global audience;

Work well under pressure, welcome feedback and revisions, and be excited about contributing to projects with tight deadlines;

Enjoy the opportunity to travel occasionally for company events and on-site meetings;

REQUIRED TOOLS

A dedicated laptop or desktop computer that will comfortably run the latest version of Mac OS or Windows (and any necessary software) without skipping beat;

Consistent high-speed home internet access;

A smartphone for on-the-go communication and content management;
