We produce character-driven documentaries, business video case studies, social video and commercials for some of the most exciting brands and impactful organizations in the world including TED, Facebook, and Greenpeace.

Job Overview:

People’s Television is looking for a freelance Copywriter to join our team. You will work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to help execute the company’s copywriting needs and produce a wide range of sales and marketing content including, but not limited to social media copy, email newsletters, email marketing & sequences, and thought leadership copywriting.

Responsibilities may include:

Proposing and supporting the execution of email marketing strategy.
Drafting and sending cold emails using Nimble, conducting thorough research on prospects, and creating personalized emails aligned with the company’s mission, brand voice, and niche.
Write and edit compelling marketing emails, including subject lines, with the goal of maximizing open rate, click-through rate, and conversion.
Oversee voice and tone, editing for consistency across all marketing channels for the People’s TV projects.
Attending weekly business strategy meetings.
Drafting and sending email newsletters using Mailchimp to diverse audiences, ensuring integration of specific brand voice and messaging.
Updating Website copy.
Maintain the brand tone of voice across multiple channels, ensuring consistency in messaging while striving to push the boundaries and find new ways to communicate with our clients.
Attuned to current cultural environment and trends.

Ideal candidate:

Is able to work during EST (Eastern Standard Time) hours
Is detailed-oriented and able to meet deadlines
Has solid copywriting skills
Has experience in email marketing & social media copywriting
Is proficient in Nimble and Mailchimp
Is a creative thinker, with the ability to take initiative and multi-task
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Is familiar with a variety of social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Youtube, LinkedIn and Facebook
Is passionate about visual storytelling and film production
Is friendly, eager to learn, and enjoys working with a team!
