Job Overview:

As the Marketing and Promotion Director for the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour (HJGT), you will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the organization's online presence, promote events, and drive engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in WordPress management, SEO optimization, content creation, paid advertising, and social media management.

Responsibilities:

Website Management:
Oversee all aspects of HJGT.org on WordPress.
Ensure the website is up-to-date, visually appealing, and user-friendly.
SEO Optimization:
Implement SEO strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of HJGT.org.
Content Creation:
Manage and write post-event recaps and press releases for publication on HJGT.org.
Coordinate with freelancers to produce high-quality event videos.
Paid Advertising:
Monitor and analyze the performance of paid ad campaigns, optimizing for maximum ROI.
Social Media Management:
Create and publish daily content across all relevant social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
Foster engagement with the HJGT community through social media interactions.
Videographer Management:
Identify, hire, and manage freelance videographers across the country to film select HJGT events.
Coordinate video production schedules and ensure timely delivery of content.
Junior Golf Growth Conference:
Develop, produce, implement, and execute a production plan for the Junior Golf Growth Conference.
Sponsorship Collaborations:
Assist the VP of Business Development in fulfilling sponsorship deliverables, including branding/visibility, digital assets, and on-site activations
Collaboration and Support:
Assist other HJGT department heads with social media content and website requests.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging.
Intern Management:
Manage 2-4 interns, providing guidance and support in executing the responsibilities outlined in this job description.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in WordPress website management.
Demonstrable experience in SEO optimization and improving website visibility.
Experience in implementing, managing, and executing a companywide marketing plan
Experience managing paid advertising campaigns with a monthly budget of at least $5,000.
Proficiency in creating engaging social media content across various platforms.
Experience in coordinating and managing freelance videographers.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
Golf experience or knowledge preferred.
A proven track record with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in marketing, advertising, or media, with a strong preference for candidates who have demonstrated expertise in the sports industry.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM, remote. Some travel is required.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $60,000, commensurate with experience.
