About Empowered Cooks

Empowered Cooks is a creator-led ecommerce and media brand that helps home cooks save time, cook with confidence, and get better results in the kitchen.

- 800,000+ YouTube subscribers

- 70,000+ cookbooks sold

- Proven physical and digital products

- Established sales through Amazon, Shopify, and ClickFunnels

- A large content library and an existing customer and email database

We've built a real audience and product business, but growth outside Amazon is underdeveloped. Email is underused, paid acquisition outside Amazon is nearly nonexistent, and our funnels and offers haven't been consistently tested. No one owns marketing results end to end.

We're looking for an AI-first marketer to own that: someone who uses AI to do the work of a small marketing team, and does it personally.

About the Role

You'll work directly with our owner to build a profitable, measurable off-Amazon growth engine, with AI at the center of how the work gets done. You'll find the highest-value opportunities, execute them yourself, build the AI systems that keep them running, and report the financial results.

This is not a strategy-only role, an agency-management role, or AI training. You must be willing and able to do the work.

What You'll Do

Email and Lifecycle

- Audit our list, segmentation, and Customer.io automations

- Build and improve welcome, nurture, cart-abandonment, post-purchase, cross-sell, and win-back flows

- Run a practical email and promotional calendar

- Grow revenue per subscriber, repeat purchases, and LTV

Paid Acquisition

- Launch paid advertising outside Amazon, starting with controlled tests

- Choose the first platforms, audiences, offers, and creative to test

- Set clear rules for when to stop, revise, or scale

- Use AI and our content library to produce ad creative quickly

Funnels and Conversion

- Map the customer journey across YouTube, Shopify, ClickFunnels, and email

- Improve landing pages, product pages, offers, bundles, upsells, and checkout

- Prioritize tests by expected financial impact

AI Marketing Systems

- Build AI workflows, agents, and automations for research, copy, creative, content repurposing, testing, and reporting

- Make our marketing faster and cheaper to run without adding headcount

- Coach the owner and team to use the systems you build

Ownership and Reporting

- Own the marketing priorities and campaign calendar

- Deliver a concise, AI-assisted weekly scorecard: what happened, why, and what's next

- Tell us where to invest more, and where to stop spending time or money

What Success Looks Like in 90 Days

- Reliable marketing and financial baselines

- At least one meaningful, measurable revenue or profitability win

- High-value email flows rebuilt or launched

- A disciplined paid-acquisition test live outside Amazon

- At least three AI-powered marketing workflows in daily use

- A working weekly marketing scorecard

We don't want an extended audit that ends in a strategy document. You should be comfortable learning, prioritizing, and executing at the same time.

Who We're Looking For

We care more about demonstrated judgment and results than about titles or years of experience.

- You've personally grown an ecommerce or consumer brand and can explain what you owned, what you executed, the budget, and the result

- You have hands-on strength in at least two areas: email and lifecycle, paid acquisition, Shopify and CRO, or marketing analytics

- AI is already central to how you work: research, copy, creative, analysis, reporting, and automation

- You've built AI workflows or automations yourself, not just used ChatGPT

- You're financially fluent: contribution margin, CAC, break-even ROAS, MER, AOV, repeat-purchase rate, and LTV

- You're resourceful: you test before asking for budget, use existing assets, and create momentum without perfect systems

- You're confident enough to challenge an owner directly and constructively

Experience with founder-led, creator-led, physical-product, or Shopify brands is a strong plus.

An experienced AI marketing advisor who builds and implements, rather than only recommending, may also be the right fit. Tell us which way you lean.

This Role Is Probably Not for You If

- You prefer strategy documents to implementation

- You mainly want to manage agencies or outsource execution

- You need a large budget or team to produce results

- You only know one channel

- You measure success by impressions or surface-level ROAS

- AI isn't already an important part of how you work

Engagement

- Fully remote

- Contract or fractional to begin, working directly with the owner

- Room to grow into a substantial ongoing or full-time leadership role based on results and fit
