As our team continues to grow, we’re seeking an experienced and highly creative Creative Designer based in New York (or LA) to develop event proposals & business development presentations for a diverse portfolio of projects.

The Role

We are seeking a talented Freelance Creative Designer with experience in live events, experiential marketing, hospitality, or event production to support our business development efforts on a project-by-project basis. The ideal candidate is a strong visual storyteller who can transform strategic ideas, event concepts, and client requirements into compelling proposal decks and presentations. This role requires a combination of presentation design expertise, creative concept development, renderings, and an understanding of event environments and attendee experiences. Working closely with our leadership, creative, and business development teams, you will help create high-impact pitches that communicate our vision, differentiate our approach, and support new business growth.

What You’ll Do

Proposal & Presentation Design

Design and develop visually engaging proposal decks, pitch presentations, and business development materials.
Create custom PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides presentations that effectively communicate complex ideas and event concepts.
Develop presentation templates and visual systems that align with agency and client branding.

Event Concept Development

Create mood boards, inspiration decks, and visual narratives for events, conferences, incentive programs, brand activations, and experiential campaigns.
Translate event strategies into compelling visual concepts, including stage design, scenic elements, décor, branding, and attendee experiences.
Source imagery, references, and creative inspiration to support proposal development and storytelling.

Content Integration & Storytelling

Collaborate with business development, strategy, and production teams to gather information and organize content into persuasive presentations.
Ensure visual design and written messaging work together cohesively to create a compelling client narrative.
Simplify complex ideas into clear, engaging visual communications.

Brand Consistency

Maintain consistency with agency and client brand guidelines while elevating the overall creative quality of presentations.
Apply best practices in layout, typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.

Project Management

Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently and accurately.
Work independently while maintaining strong communication with cross-functional teams.

What We’re Looking For

5+ years of experience in graphic design, presentation design, experiential marketing, event production, hospitality, or a related creative field.
Strong portfolio showcasing presentation design, proposal development, event concepts, and visual storytelling.
Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
Experience developing client-facing presentations and business development materials.
Familiarity with live events, environmental design, staging, scenic design, and experiential marketing.
Exceptional design sensibility with strong skills in layout, typography, branding, and visual communication.
Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Skills

Agency, event production, experiential marketing, or hospitality industry experience.
Experience supporting RFP responses and competitive pitch processes.
Knowledge of fabrication, scenic production, environmental design, and event logistics.
Proficiency in rendering software such as SketchUp, Cinema 4D, or Vectorworks
Experience using AI-assisted design tools and visual concepting platforms.
