About Curfew Labs

Curfew Labs builds software that makes work easier. Our flagship, Curfew Suite, is a family of connected business apps for time, expenses, books, projects and signatures on one account. We build quiet, dependable tools that do the tedious, load-bearing work so people don’t have to worry when they step away.

The role

A 12-week contract to find out where our marketing should go next. This is an analytics role more than a creative one. You’ll set up and run paid campaigns across our advertising channels, make sure every click and sign-up can be traced back to where it came from, and measure what each new customer costs us to win and what they’re worth. Then you’ll tell us, with evidence, which bets to make. Our team handles the creative; you’ll brief it, test it and say what’s working. Expect 20 to 40 hours a week, set together at the start, and a hybrid schedule from our Chicago office.

What you’ll do

Build and own our tracking. Set a consistent UTM convention for every link and campaign, and put conversion tracking, ad platform pixels and analytics events in place. The goal is clean attribution from first click to paying customer.
Plan, launch and manage paid campaigns on Google, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, TikTok, and OpenAI’s ChatGPT ads
Track customer acquisition cost (CAC) by channel, campaign and audience, alongside conversion rates, return on ad spend and early lifetime value
Analyze the customer lifecycle, from first visit to sign-up, activation and retention, using funnels and cohorts, and find the patterns behind who stays
Design and run tests on audiences, offers, landing pages and budgets, with a clear hypothesis and read-out for each
Build a simple dashboard and a weekly report that say plainly what’s working, what isn’t, and where to move spend
Brief our team on creative and landing pages based on what the data shows
Leave the tracking, the dashboard and a written playbook in good order, so the work carries on after the contract

What you bring

Two or more years in performance or growth marketing, ideally for software or online services, with real responsibility for budgets and results
Hands-on experience with Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok Ads, and experience with or a strong interest in ChatGPT ads
Strong command of UTMs, conversion tracking, pixels and attribution, and of tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager or similar
A track record of measuring CAC, return on ad spend and lifetime value, and of turning the numbers into decisions
Experience with funnel, cohort and retention analysis; comfort with spreadsheets, and SQL a plus
A habit of testing before scaling, and of reporting results honestly, including the ones that didn’t work
A very organized way of working

Contract details

12 weeks, starting as soon as the right person is found
20 to 40 hours a week, agreed at the start based on campaign volume
Hybrid: part of the week in our Chicago office, the rest remote.
$30 to $45 an hour
