I'm hiring in Austin: a video and social producer to help grow LinkedIn and TikTok

I bought a business with an SBA loan and wrote a book about the journey (Bad Apple, Wiley). Now I'm building Chief, software for the banks that make those loans.

I have a lot to say, and I'd love help getting it out into the world. I'm looking for someone in Austin who loves short-form video, understands how audiences grow, and has turned followers into paying customers before.

What we'd build together

• A simple weekly rhythm: one shoot day and a steady stream of clips, without taking over my calendar

• Short videos for LinkedIn (bankers and lenders) and TikTok (people buying, running and selling small businesses)

• A weekly chart from loan data with a plain takeaway, in the spirit of Carta's data posts

• Clear paths from content to something real: the book, our email list and conversations with Chief

• Clips from my talks and events

You might be a great fit if

• You've grown your own following on TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube or Instagram

• You've turned an audience into paid offers, like a product, course, service or membership, and can walk me through how

• You shoot and edit your own short-form video

• You can make a chart or simple graphic that people actually stop for

• You live in or near Austin and enjoy filming in person

Bonus points if you've worked with founders.

Budget: $2-3k a month
