Social Media Content Creator AziMD Skincare | San Diego, CA | Part-Time

AziMD Skincare is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to become the creative engine behind our social presence.

We’re a dermatologist-founded, clinical-luxury skincare brand, and we’re looking for someone who understands that great skincare content doesn’t always look like an ad.

Sometimes it’s beautifully shot product storytelling. Sometimes it’s a 10-second TikTok. Sometimes it’s Dr. Shirazi answering a question in her office. Sometimes it’s a behind-the-scenes moment that makes people feel like they’re part of the brand.

We’re looking for a hands-on creator with strong taste, curiosity, initiative, and a point of view who can bring AziMD to life across TikTok, Instagram, and beyond.

What You’ll Do

Concept, shoot, edit, and deliver short-form content for TikTok and Instagram Reels
Build and maintain a deep, organized AziMD content vault across product, educational, lifestyle, BTS, evergreen, and trend-driven content
Create both highly produced and lo-fi, social-first content—and know when each approach makes sense
Develop original concepts, recurring series, hooks, POVs, and visual formats that feel distinctly AziMD
Stay on top of TikTok trends, sounds, formats, beauty culture, and emerging content styles—and know how to make them feel like AziMD rather than simply copying a trend
Capture product photography, BTS moments, application demonstrations, and social-first graphics as needed
Work closely with Dr. Azadeh Shirazi (@skinbydrazi) to turn her expertise and personality into engaging, accessible content while maintaining her credibility as a board-certified dermatologist
Capture spontaneous content opportunities in the office, on set, at events, and during brand moments
Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to translate campaigns, launches, promotions, and seasonal priorities into compelling social content
Monitor performance, engagement, watch time, and audience response to continuously improve creative
Keep the content library organized and easy for the team to access and repurpose

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of experience creating social-first content, particularly short-form video
Strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram
A portfolio demonstrating strong video storytelling, editing, visual instincts, and social creativity
Experience taking content from concept → shoot → edit → final delivery
Strong understanding of hooks, pacing, framing, on-screen text, sound, covers, and storytelling
A strong visual eye and attention to detail
Comfortable filming on location, in an office, on set, and in everyday environments
Comfortable directing others on camera and/or appearing on camera when appropriate
Familiarity with CapCut, InShot, or similar editing tools
Able to move quickly without sacrificing the quality of the brand
Highly organized and able to maintain a growing content library
Interested in beauty, skincare, wellness, fashion, lifestyle, or culture

Most Importantly

You don't need to fit a traditional beauty-content mold.

We’re looking for someone with taste, curiosity, initiative, and a strong creative point of view. Someone who can make a dermatologist-founded skincare brand feel sophisticated without feeling overly polished, educational without feeling clinical, and current without trying too hard.

You should naturally notice good content, save things for inspiration, understand why something works, and immediately start thinking about how you could make it better.

This is a hands-on creator role. We’re not looking for someone who only wants to manage a content calendar or hand briefs off to someone else. We want someone who wants to be behind the camera, experiment, edit, pitch ideas, and build something.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll help build a recognizable AziMD world across social—one with a deep library of content, recurring formats, engaging storytelling, desirable product moments, and a genuine sense of the people and expertise behind the brand.

The goal isn't simply to fill a content calendar.

It’s to create content people actually want to watch—and build a brand people want to come back to.
