Software Engineer (Fintech)

As we expand on this marketplace, we are looking for talented Software Engineers to expand our engineering team and spearhead development.

Position: Software Engineer Fintech
Location: Austin, TX (onsite)
Employment Type: Part-time, Contract to Full-time

Key Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in the software development industry, using REACT with a proven track record in both front-end and back-end technologies.
Technical Proficiency:
**Extensive experience in developing REST APIs utilizing JSON and HTTP protocols.
**Strong programming skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Knowledge of REACT & Next.js is a significant advantage.
Great product knowledge and product development experience
Experience in the Fintech field
Computer Science degree and Mathematics Degree prefered.

**Demonstrated experience with AWS Services and NoSQL databases.**A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design. Mathematical background and deep understanding of financial instruments.

Familiarity with software management tools (gradle, GIT, build pipeline etc), CI-CD, test automation.
Leadership: Experience in managing development teams, and drive the engineering vision. Have ability to make product assessments and have the judgment to adjust approach and readjust project priorities.
Product Development: Strong Hands-on experience in product development, ideally within a startup environment.
Education: B.S or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, along with Mathematics or Finance degrees (preferred) coupled with software engineering experience.

Quality Assurance: Elevate the quality of engineering through rigorous code reviews, enhancing documentation, and promoting automation and testing.
Technology Assessment: Assess and recommend cutting-edge technologies and frameworks to ensure our applications are maintainable and architecturally sound.
Expertise: Bring a deep understanding of front-end JavaScript frameworks, especially Next.js and React, applying best practices in web application architecture and design patterns.
