Our client is seeking a remote
Infographic Designer is responsible for transforming complex data, ideas, and information into visually compelling and easily digestible infographics. Working closely with content creators, data analysts, and marketing teams, the infographic designer crafts visuals that enhance communication, promote understanding, and engage the target audience. This role demands creativity, an eye for design, and the ability to effectively communicate data in a clear and intuitive format.
Responsibilities: - Infographic Design:
- Create visually appealing, informative, and effective infographics that communicate complex data or concepts in a simple and engaging way.
- Use design principles such as typography, color theory, layout, and composition to develop unique designs that align with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers, data analysts, and subject-matter experts to understand the data and translate it into a compelling visual narrative.
- Data Visualization:
- Interpret large volumes of data and information to create charts, graphs, and illustrations that are both accurate and visually striking.
- Use data visualization best practices to ensure clarity and accessibility, keeping the audience's understanding at the forefront of design choices.
- Creative Collaboration:
- Work with marketing, social media, and content teams to ensure infographics align with overarching campaigns, brand voice, and objectives.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and offer creative solutions to convey messages through visual formats.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of quality, meeting deadlines, and balancing priorities.
- Ensure timely delivery of designs and contribute to the overall project workflow.
- Brand Consistency:
- Ensure that all infographics are consistent with the brand's identity, including logos, colors, fonts, and tone.
- Help establish or refine infographic templates that can be reused for future projects or campaigns.
- Quality Control:
- Proofread designs for accuracy and consistency, ensuring that data is presented correctly and that there are no errors.
- Ensure final designs are optimized for various formats, including print, web, and social media.
- Staying Updated:
- Stay up to date with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques in the field of infographic design and data visualization.
- Experiment with new styles, formats, and creative methods to keep the designs fresh and innovative.
Qualifications:
- A degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Data Visualization, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an infographic designer or a similar role, with a portfolio showcasing your work with data visualization and creative design.
- 5+ years of experience.
Skills: - Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio).
- A solid understanding of typography, layout design, color theory, and digital and print design principles.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts or data into clear, engaging visuals that resonate with the target audience.
- Excellent attention to detail and an ability to prioritize tasks.
- Communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Experience with data visualization techniques and understanding of how to present data clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with digital platforms, social media, and web formats, as well as designing with accessibility in mind (e.g., color blindness considerations).
- Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with motion graphics or video production is a plus.
- Familiarity with web design and user interface (UI) design can be an added advantage.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
