What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing graphics packages for a wide range of media including print, social, web, email, apparel, outdoor, marketing promotions, and game presentation needs
- Developing designs in-line with creative requests placed by departments across the Pistons organization, including Partnerships, Membership, Marketing, Game Presentation, Retail, Basketball Operations, HR, and others.
- Covering Detroit Pistons, Motor City Cruise, and Pistons GT games in real-time to support our social and other owned media channels
- Supporting all facets of print production for the Pistons in-house print shop including but not limited to; graphic design, printing, finishing, equipment maintenance, and inventory management
- Collaborating across Brand Marketing verticals on design and activation strategies
What we’re looking for
- Enthusiastic creative who is passionate about both their design craft and the sports and entertainment industry
- To ensure consistency in visual voice across all marketing and communications channels, need to be comfortable in, and champion for working within the confines of the Pistons and Motor City Cruise campaign standards
- A strong portfolio that showcases refined design skills, inspired creative vision, strong technical skill, a demonstrated understanding of layout design, and alignment with brand standards
- Expert knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Technical experience working in a print production environment not mandatory, but preferred
- Interest in UI and digital design for the range of marcomm platforms including web, email, app, social, and OOH
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail
- Hard-working fast paced, high volume
- Graphic Design/Visual Communications degree or equivalent work experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in a design role is preferred.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, unless otherwise agreed upon with their supervisor. Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary
- Must have reliable transportation to and from The Henry Ford Detroit Pistons Performance Center and Little Caesars Arena.
