Freelance Beauty Packaging Designer to work for our client in the

Contract: 3-Months, W2 , Holiday Season Coverage)
Location: New York, NY (hybrid)
Pay Rate: $40-45/hour DOE
Summary:
Join our Design team as a freelance packaging and graphic designer, focusing on the creation of visually appealing and market-aligned product designs for the personal care category. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for design and a sophisticated, modern aesthetic that aligns with our brand voice.
Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative packaging concepts and designs for seasonal personal care collections
- Collaborate closely with the design team to bring concepts to completion
- Interpret feedback quickly and revise designs as needed
- Generate ideas, initiate projects, and work effectively within a team
- Stay current with trends in beauty, fashion, and packaging design
- Apply an understanding of brand codes and demonstrate a refined sense of color
- Produce accurate 3D prototypes and mock-ups in collaboration with comp houses
- Adapt to shifting priorities with a flexible, positive approach to feedback
- Complete technical turnovers with precision, speed, and attention to detail
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Graphic Arts, or related field
- 5-7+ years of experience in packaging design or a comparable design field
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design projects, particularly in packaging
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Proficiency in typography, color theory, composition, and layout
- Familiarity with print production processes and materials
- Experience in creating prototypes for concept visualization
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Passion for trends in design, beauty, and fashion
