The Motley Fool is looking for a Freelance Sanity.io Developer with expert-level chops in Sanity.io implementations to join our team on an independent contract basis for at least 6-12 months.
***This is a 40-hour per week role and is fully remote.***

Join a high-performance development team delivering content management solutions to our authors & editors. We author and AI generate content on thousands of stocks for our prospects & members. This team uses Sanity.io as the content management system replacing an in house system for both our free and premium content.
We value communication, collaboration, and technical excellence. We are a remote workforce that uses Slack, Zoom, Jira, and agile development practices to keep in sync.
What would you do in this role?
The Motley Fool is seeking a dedicated Sanity.io Developer with expertise in building and customizing a Sanity studio to meet the needs of authors, editors and business users. The ideal candidate would have experience in one or more studio implementations.
But what does this role actually do?
- Customizing the Sanity UI to meet our needs
- Custom workflows for different content types
- Importing content into Sanity
- Media management including images & video
- Integrating the Studio into a local ecosystem via APIs / Webhooks
Required Skills
- Demonstrable experience with at least one Sanity.io implementation
- Strong proficiency in React, Next and modern JavaScript / Typescript
- Experience with content management, content modeling and structured content approaches
- Experience working with RESTful API's and GraphQL
- Strong communication (written & video), problem-solving and debugging skills
Skills that we'd be interested to hear about:
- Experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with Microsoft Playwright or Cypress testing automation frameworks
