AFMKTG is currently seeking a part-time Graphic Artist to join the team. The primary responsibility of our Graphic Artist is to support our client’s business objectives through the creation of elevated and sophisticated design.
Our Graphic Artist should be self-motivated and excited about being able to run with creative projects to provide exceptional design concepts within their creative briefs. We are looking for a self-directed team member who can get tasks over the finish line by providing their own strategic and creative direction.
Responsibilities
The Graphic Artist will be expected to help our clients reach their goals and KPIs by:
- Aiming to surprise and delight our clients with their ability to “wow” through design deliverables such as: social media graphics and templates; presentation decks; website layout and design; environmental signage; fliers; print/display/billboard advertisements; email marketing templates; logo marks; brand standards & typography curation; merchandise concepts; and environment building through use of generative AI programs such as Midjouney.
- Proactively discovering, reviewing and staying ahead of the latest design trends and leveraging that knowledge to inform your ideation process.
- Owning the creative process from ideation through implementation.
- Understanding our client’s business structures and goals, communicating effectively and knowing the right questions to ask to transform client ideas and visions into reality while incorporating their brand strategy into the design.
- Being a self-starter who is motivated, resourceful and excited about getting tasks over the finish line while working collaboratively with the team and our clients.
- Incorporating smart design that guides the intended audience to take a specific action.
- Anticipating needs, remaining adaptable and thinking on their feet in order to provide creative marketing solutions to help our clients reach their goals.
- Possessing an exceptionally high level of professionalism and integrity – comfortable with taking extreme ownership of their responsibilities, their clients and their work.
- Applying an incredibly meticulous attention to detail, reviewing and improving their own work, and ensuring all deliverables exceed AFMKTG standards.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously while demonstrating strong analytical, time management, and multitasking skills and proactively managing deadlines and expectations.
- Reviewing review final copy, layouts and content in print or digital form, preparing press-ready files based on the supplied specifications, and ensuring brand standards are applied across color, font, production quality and more.
- Maintaining image and file libraries and filing packages.
Requirements
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- 3+ years' professional experience as a production artist, graphic designer, or similar in an agency setting with a strong portfolio of completed graphics and designs that reflect a sophisticated style and high standard of excellence
- Educational background in visual arts, design, or a related field
- Expert in both Adobe Suite and Canva
- Proficient in project management software (ClickUp) and team communication tools (Slack/Email)
Location
While this role is remote and employees work from their home offices, AFMKTG employees are required to live within commuting distance of San Diego, CA for occasional in-person meetings and client site visits.
