Most well-known for reimagining the fabric, fit, and function of underwear and undershirts, Tommy John has spent the past decade making the online and in-store shopping experience more comfortable. We are constantly on a mission to add smart, innovative, and proactive team members and are looking for a Senior Email Graphic Designer to come join our New York based headquarters on a temp to perm basis. Our HQ Office is located in Lower Manhattan and the team is on-site 3 days per week.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Director of CRM Marketing with a dotted line to the VP of Brand & Creative, the Senior Email Graphic Designer will have a strong design ethos & aesthetic and a thirst to build a compelling and premium visual presence for Tommy John's brand experience. The ideal candidate is motivated, has a self-starter mentality, possesses foundational design skills across the digital medium, and has a clear understanding for an omni-channel creative approach & fully understands the customer experience when it comes to DTC brands.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and execute all email layouts based on strategy & briefs for triggered, journey based campaign blasts and promotional sends while adhering to calendar & business needs
- Work under Marketing to plan detailed campaign deploys and variations for testing
- Partner closely with Creative to abide by brand guidelines and receive creative concept inputs, inclusive of photography and other assets
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners for QA and approvals
- Prepare designs for creative marketing presentations and reviews
- Ensure the digital customer experience via CRM deliverables, and therefore user journey on-site, is consistent, on-brand, and pointed
- Lead all creative digital touch points: design full conceptual programs such as loyalty, welcome series, etc. and provide options for testing format
- Execute campaigns in other targetable communication channels, including but not limited to: email campaigns, SMS/MMS, and push notifications
Qualifications, Skills, & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Graphic Design role at a similar DTC apparel brand
- Demonstrated alignment with TJ core values: Humble, Adaptable, Mindful GSD 2.0, & Curious
- Previous experience working in the email service provider (ESP) Klaviyo & a deep understanding of targeting, campaign building, QA, and scheduling
- High Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign; Premiere & After Effects are a plus but not required)
- Strong presentation skills
- Possess a consumer-first mentality
- Passionate about digitally led graphic design
- Ability to work at a fast pace on varied creative projects
- Exemplary attention to detail and time management skills
- Knowledge of DTC marketing best practices
- Previous experience at a best-in-class, digital-led marketing agency or brand
- Strong preference will be given to candidate with the ability to be on-site in our HQ Office in Lower Manhattan 2-3 days per week
Pay Range: $45 to $50 per hour
