Our client distributes grocery products to independent and chain retailers in 50 states and our own corporate-owned retail stores throughout the Midwest, in addition to fresh food processing and distribution. Through our MDV military division, we are a leading distributor of grocery products to U.S. military commissaries.

Position Summary:
This role is responsible for working with internal customers to design and execute creative graphic solutions using a variety of print and digital media. Work with customers to establish design needs, establish project scope, and oversee all aspects of production, ensuring outstanding customer service while meeting multiple deadlines.
Here's what you'll do:
- Design various marketing and advertising print materials such as billboards, digital display ads, point-of-sale signs, and weekly circulars.
- Work with customers and internal cross-functional departments to determine project scope and design needs such as design elements, target audience, media, production requirements, etc.
- Ensure consistency of marketing message between retail banners for compliance with branding standards.
- Troubleshoot printing issues/requirements and maintain print integrity for materials.
- Oversee project execution by coordinating with internal business partners and/or external services (i.e., Art services, printers, etc.) as needed; ensure timely resolution of any issues.
- Maintain awareness of trends and developments in retail graphic design.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Here's what you'll need:
- Associate degree (Required) in Graphic Art, Graphic Design, Marketing, Communications, or related area or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- One year experience in graphic design or related area preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, prioritization, and customer service skills.
- Ability to collaborate with internal and external resources to develop graphic designs that meet customers' goals within budget and established timelines.
- Knowledge of printing processes, illustration, and industry design styles, standards, and formats.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (i.e., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and graphic design software (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
- Knowledge of database application setup (i.e., Acoustic, Basecamp, etc.) helpful.
