Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer
FLSA Status: Part-Time, hourly (15-20 hrs/week)
Reports to: Creative Design Manager
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a talented, motivated Junior Graphic Designer to collaborate with our
creative team.
You will report to the Creative Design Manager to create visual assets to be used in
campaigns, websites, and printed materials. This role requires an individual who can
operate within the framework of our style and brand guidelines to produce original and
engaging visual content. Our ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of successful design
work, a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and comprehensive knowledge of Adobe
Suite and related design software.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receive direction and project requests from Creative Design Manager on all
creative needs
- Engage directly with Creative Design Manager to ensure a unified approach to
visual solutions is achieved
- Create solutions that are within our style and brand guidelines
Projects could include but are not limited to:
- Create specialized print and digital assets for on-site hospitality use- promotion
of upcoming events, beer releases, and new news
- Create print and digital POS signage for distributors and retailers
- Create digital and print advertisements
- Create printed and digital sales tools
- Create property signage and interface with external vendors
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design preferred
- 1-2 years of experience
- Beer knowledge is a plus
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in Adobe Suite, with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Ability to multi-task several projects and meet deadlines with high quality work
- Understanding of company values and ability to translate values into brand
image
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within team
- Initiative, Drive and Self-Motivation are key success traits
Working Conditions:
- This is an on-site position in our Asheville office.
At-Will Employment:
Employment with Highland Brewing Co. may be terminated by either Highland or the
employee at any time with or without cause or notice.
