Commercial Renovation Project Manager
Chenoweth Group Inc. is a national design & build construction management firm. We’re looking for an experienced commercial renovation project manager to join our team! With our multi-year growth, there are plenty of opportunities to grow with the company. The renovations project manager’s primary role will be to supervise and plan renovation projects from start to finish ensuring customer satisfaction.
Pre-Con Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate internal sales/project manager kick-off meeting to hand over the project
2. Develop construction schedule and calendar for the project
3. Schedule and host external kick-off meeting with key stakeholders
4. Source trades for projects and confirm staffing to meeting execution timeline
5. Application for permits and site planning
Project Responsibilities:
1. Issuance of purchase orders and change orders
2. Complete all paperwork required for invoicing and AIA draws if required
3. Approve all sub-contractor invoices prior to routing to accounting
4. Manage Sub-contractors and foreman/superintendent
5. Communicate weekly with customer and update schedules
6. Punchlist walk and sign off with customer
7. Ordering of materials if required and FF&E items after performing takeoff
8. Maintain clean, safe, and OSHA compliant projects at all times
9. Provide all required information for internal weekly staff meeting
10. RFI Management with customers and subcontractors
11. Project Delivery – On Time, On Budget, and compliant with our quality standards
Project Completion Responsibilities:
1. Host internal project after action review (AAR) meeting to discuss positive performance and opportunities for improvement.
2. Update “lessons learned” knowledge database to ensure future projects do not struggle with same opportunities for improvement mentioned in AAR meeting.
3. Upload all project files into the company drive for record keeping and close out project on Procore.
4. Provide evaluations on sub-contractors used on project and update database with notes for future projects in that region.
As Needed:
1. Sourcing trades in a new market
2. Leveraging current network of freelance 1099 contractors for smaller renovation projects and/or grow network to meet project schedule demands
Key Skills:
1. Ability to read and interpret blueprints
2. Excellent Communication & Organizational Skills
3. Wide range of construction experiences to talk intelligently in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, millwork, etc.
4. Sub-Contractor Sourcing, negotiating, and buy-out experience
5. Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, P6, Building connected, or similar construction management and scheduling software’s.
Position Classification: Full Time – W2 Salaried Position
Position Location: On-Site – Sterling Heights, MI
Position Schedule: Monday – Friday; 9AM – 5PM
Travel: As needed for projects.
Compensation: $65,000 -- $70,000 (based on experience)

Experience:
§ Preferred 5+ years of commercial project manager experience
§ Preferred 2+ years of experience in dental/medical facility environment
§ Preferred 4+ years of project estimating experience
§ Ability to utilize personal network of 1099 freelance contractors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
