Entertainment Cruise Productions, “The World Leader in Live Entertainment at Sea,” is looking for a Freelance Graphic Designer with strong design experience to help support creative for our full ship charter cruises including Star Trek: The Cruise, The 80s Cruise, The 90s Cruise and Comic-Con: The Cruise.
This position will assist the Creative Director in executing design solutions with high visual impact. This role requires a highly creative and imaginative individual who can operate within the framework of our style and brand guidelines to produce original, provocative, and engaging visual content. The Freelance Graphic Designer will work as part of our tight-knit marketing team, which coordinates everything from onboard signage design, print collateral and some digital design. The role will require both the ability to collaborate as well as to handle projects with a great deal of personal responsibility and autonomy. Our ideal candidate has a strong portfolio of successful design work, a bachelor's degree in graphic design, and comprehensive, expert-level knowledge of Adobe Suite and related design software.
This position is part-time contract based only with roughly 40-80 hours per month. Individuals will need to be able to work under tight timelines with the ability to manage their own time and work within budgeted hours.

Please note: Candidates must be available to come into the office in Clayton, MO at least once a week and available during working hours 9am-5pm.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and design of innovative materials for print and digital collateral using Adobe Creative Suite
- Execute unique and on brief designs for branding and marketing purposes across multiple platforms and experiential spaces
- Estimate and independently manage time for project deliverables
- Help in the branding executions of two new cruises being added to the company portfolio
- Demonstrate a willingness to initiate and adopt new ideas
- Be able to balance thinking big picture and maintaining attention to detail
- Effective written and oral communication; clearly articulate the thinking and process behind design solutions, ideas and recommendations
- Provide feedback on proofs regarding retouching and color correction
Requirements
- 4-6 years of professional experience in a graphic design position or field (agency, marketing firm, in-house or freelance)
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiencies in the Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
- Creative portfolio displaying strong skills in graphic design and typography
- Have a complete understanding of designing within brand standards
- Good knowledge of brand communication and print production
- Have an educated and growing understanding the production process and how to direct outside vendors and production houses to ensure the desired result
- Comfortable working in a Mac based environment
- Team player with problem solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, remains current on industry trends
