We are looking for an experienced
Proofreader/Editor for our client, a global company dedicated to advancing innovative solutions that help people live healthier lives!
As a Proofreader/Editor, you will proofread, edit, and provide copy suggestions on all Studio projects including but not limited to print, digital/web, and writing projects. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, an excellent command of the English language, and a passion for maintaining high-quality content.
This will be a fully remote, ongoing freelance opportunity.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accuracy of references, web addresses, phone numbers, footnotes, etc. and compliance with brand guidelines.
- Maintain consistency and accuracy of layout components (spacing, capitalization, etc.).
- Ensure all client annotations are understood and addressed as necessary.
- Provide copyediting assistance to improve content and readability.
- Provide final sign off for proofreading of projects prior to client release.
- Adhere to Studio standard operating procedures and workflows.
- Provide primary support for assigned brands and back-up support for team in accordance with Editorial SLA.
- Understand and comply with defined standards of review.
- Collaborate with clients/stakeholders to help the team meet business objectives.
- Effect efficient promotion review by providing input for process improvement, standards, etc, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
- BA in Communications, Journalism, or English (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years general editorial experience, with at least 2 years in medical, pharmaceutical, or advertising industry preferred.
- Proficient in AMA style.
- Proficient with Adobe Acrobat.
- Corporate or in-house advertising agency experience.
- Project Management tool experience.
- Ability to manage projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
