As the Freelance Website Developer some of your job functions will be:
- Modifying/enhancing a website that is functional and user friendly
- Cross browser/cross device testing
- Optimize website performance
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues associated with themes, hosting or plug in environments
- Developing custom word press code
- Managing back end services and database configuration
- Interact with all stakeholders for the website and determine the needs, design preferences and project requirements
- Maintain wordpress core and plugins
- Continually stay updated on Wordpress updates in relation to software and coding
- Provide technical support and/or training to UCT staff when necessary
- Maintain comprehensive documentation/log of all activities on website
Experience Required:
- Wordpress
- Algolia
- PHP
- Java Script
- SQL
- 5+ experience a must
Experience, a plus:
- JQuery
- Woocommerce/Ecommerce
- HTML 5 Coding
- SEO knowledge
Skill sets required: Self-motivated, strong analytic skills, strong attention to detail, and problem solving skills
