Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Manager, Content Strategy out of our Kimberton, PA HQ.
Role Summary:
The Content Strategy Manager is responsible for creating and overseeing the content strategy for Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT), developing creative content assets across all channels focusing on brand development, customer engagement, and demand generation in alignment with corporate strategy.
As CWT continues to grow and expand, we are looking for a strong B2B and B2B2C storyteller with extensive content development experience. You're an exceptional writer and content strategist with a knack for breaking down complex topics into compelling, digestible narratives. You're at home working across digital and traditional channels, i.e., email, web, video, PR, collateral, and social.
You are comfortable as both a player and a coach and have experience developing and delivering high-impact channel and audience-based content plans, identifying opportunities across all funnel stages to drive key messages and priorities. The ideal candidate is also data driven, using insights to steer content development and the editorial planning process, helping to identify major content gaps across the organization. Success is reflected by the ability to build brand awareness and equity, increase engagement, and drive qualified leads for sales.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Build and execute content strategies that support and amplify CWTs short- and long-term branding, marketing objectives and sales goals.
- Drive quarterly and annual content plan development in collaboration with broader marketing team and key stakeholders, appropriately scaling and prioritizing level of investment by solution, audience, strategic initiatives, and other variable factors.
- Collaborate closely with integrated marketing team to ensure all content aligns to key messaging priorities & consumer insights, optimizing content across the buyer's journey.
- Maximize the value and reach of our content by turning high-performing assets into a library of derivative pieces for use in multiple channels.
- Support demand generation campaigns with compelling content that helps drive funnel activity.
- Manage development of CEUs, webinars, case studies, eBooks, video, and other content.
- Provide thought leadership in the development of brand storytelling across all tactics, advising on narrative trends that complement brand strategies.
- Ensure content is SEO optimized. Act as our SEO subject matter expert and help keep SEO as a top priority when developing online customer experiences.
- Develop strong relationships with subject-matter experts, thought leaders, industry consultants, and customers to support content efforts.
- Lead, mentor and grow internal content team and develop a bench of reliable freelance resources.
- Measure and report on content performance; optimize based on results.
- Help develop standards, processes, and tools to drive greater efficiencies in how we work and operate as a cross-functional team including methods for effective editing, proofreading, and asset management.
- Be a steward of best practices in messaging, grammar, writing, and style.
- Stay on top of content marketing trends and bring new ideas for us to explore and test.

Education/Experience:
- BA/BS degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field.
- 6-8 years of increasing responsibility and complexity, creating content and developing/managing content strategy.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders and leadership.
- Deep customer-journey minded content development; A strong storyteller that can weave together an effective, compelling, cohesive message across customer touchpoints.
- An extensive portfolio of past work that has made a measurable impact on the business it was created for including expertise and success with digital demand generation.
- Demonstrated ownership of holistic content strategy, including creating new content as well as effectively re-packaging/refreshing existing content.
- Experience developing content to support fully integrated marketing – across digital and traditional channels.
- Expertise with various digital marketing channels and social media platforms, proficiency in content management systems (CMS), marketing automation tools, and analytics platforms.
- Deep knowledge of SEO best practices and experience optimizing content for search engines.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and insights to make data-driven content decisions. Experience with Google Analytics and Hubspot preferred.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Experience working with and/or marketing to the construction industry (builders, contractors, architects) strongly preferred.
