Job summary
The Content Manager for EWTS is responsible for ideating, creating, and curating compelling content across multiple digital platforms and to engage our target audience, increase brand awareness, and drive traffic and conversions. The Content Manager collaborates with various team members to ensure content aligns with EWTS’s goals and values. This role reports to the Director of Marketing (remotely from the UK) but with in person support from Phil M Jones.
Responsibilities
- Generate innovative ideas for content based on trends in digital marketing and social media, target audience interests, and marketing objectives.
- Produce high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content, including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, podcasts, social media posts and templates.
- Develop content calendars and schedules to ensure consistent publishing across platforms.
- Apply strategic insights to develop content for the EWTS brand.
- Analyze content performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, social media insights, and the EWTS marketing dashboard. Provide regular reports and insights to track progress and inform future content strategies.
- Collaborate with internal and external freelance teams, including media, design, and writers to ensure content aligns with overall brand messaging and objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in content creation and digital marketing.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Journalism, related field or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience as a Content Manager, preferably in a similar industry or niche.
- Demonstrated understanding of how to craft a compelling narrative of the EWTS brand.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in grammar and punctuation.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, social media marketing, and content strategy.
- Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and relevant software/tools for content creation (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, WordPress).
- Knowledge of photography, videography, editing tools, illustration, design principles, and Adobe Suite.
- Skilled in graphic design, video editing for social media and typography.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
- Creative thinking with the ability to generate fresh and engaging ideas.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Passion for storytelling and connecting with audiences through compelling content preferable in learning and development, training, and speaking environments.
Work environment
Team EWTS is an international team where most of us work remotely and flexibly. You will be located either in Hudson near our head office or in New York City (for training events), but should be able to be office based in Hudson around 2 days per week. Expect to be working on content creation in our media hub in Hudson, attending and supporting events in NYC and collaborating with the team from San Diego to the UK.
