Small non-profit fundraising consulting agency seeks skilled contract grant researcher to work remotely on a freelance basis, roughly 15-30 hours per month (it varies) but highly flexible. You may be based anywhere, but you must be legally able to work in the United States. We are a laid-back group, but we pride ourselves on impeccable quality. Compensation based on experience and demonstrated command of the role.
What you’d be doing:
- Prospecting in databases for potential foundation and corporate funders for a variety of our clients, most of whom work in youth initiatives
- Tracking research notes for client use and reference in their fundraising efforts
- That’s pretty much it!
Requirements:
- Experience in prospect research specifically for nonprofit fundraising
- Familiarity with basic fundraising principles, e.g., what makes a funder a good fit or not
- Strong internet snooping skills
- Hyper-meticulous attention to detail
- Working knowledge of the common funding databases (the agency holds subscriptions; you are not required to hold them yourself)
To apply, please submit through Indeed with your resume and a cover letter that summarizes your fit for the role. (We aren’t grading composition skills—just give us your best short pitch.) Submissions without a cover letter will not be reviewed.
