Social Media Designer

One of the biggest names in editorial and entertainment is seeking a freelance Social Media Designer to join their team for a three month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a Visual Designer with a recent emphasis on static social media content. This position will be fully remote.

Responsibilities:

• Creating engaging social media assets to drive subscription acquisitions
• Utilize creativity and strong graphic design skills to develop original content for various social media platforms
• Collaborate with the team to brainstorm and implement effective strategies for social media engagement
• Minimum of 5 years of experience, with a significant portion spent working on social media platforms
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly in Photoshop
• Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to evolving project requirements
• Excellent communication skills and self-motivation

Required Qualifications:

• Some college experience preferred, with SCAD (School of Art and Design) curriculum being highly valued
• Experience in social media/content space preferred (e.g., movie studio, publishing, media company)
• No video experience required; focus is on graphic design for social media
• Remote work with flexible hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm EST, with some flexibility)
• Short-term 3-month assignment with potential for extension (no guarantees)
• No travel required; candidate must have their own computer and access to necessary systems
