Social Media Specialist
Temporary Assignment:
This maternity leave coverage for Our Cleint's Senior Social Media and Content Specialist will manage the end-to-end operations of content production and publishing on our Social Media channels, which include Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn. This individual will have proven success in editorial content management, knowledge of how to create customer-centric content for different audiences, and a solid understanding of social-first content best practices to garner engagement.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
(Campaigns/Story Development)
Participate in monthly/quarterly collaboration meetings to source new story ideas.
Using existing stories, suggest the best format / deliverables to publish on social media channels.
(Social Media Strategy)
Serve as a social media subject matter expert with stakeholders, providing counsel on how to best support key initiatives on social channels.
Create and maintain a monthly social media calendar, updating stakeholders throughout the process.
Own content selection and creative development to amplify blog, CSR and top-performing organic content via ongoing paid social campaigns. Partner with agency to execute and monitor performance.
Partner with Marketing on a monthly basis to share paid strategies and ensure alignment.
Oversee agency reporting and platform dashboards to analyze performance and make recommendations to impact our social media KPIs.
Actively compile, analyze and share expertise and research on social and digital trends with stakeholders, providing inspiration and thought leadership on new ways to engage our client's target audiences.
(Content Development)
Ideate, strategize and lead asset production. Own the creative development process for deliverables including images, video, graphics or other assets by managing in-house and freelance resources, timelines and workloads. Collaborate with other channel and program owners (Events, Digital Marketing, Internal Communications) to leverage content beyond our client's organic social channels, where applicable.
Develop Social Media copy and route for necessary internal and external approvals
Carefully proof and edit content to ensure that the voice and imagery consistently represent the client's brand and are optimized per channel.
Stay connected with stakeholders for opportunities to capture social-first content to fuel the calendar (e.g. our client's Academy, CARE training classes, property or product photoshoots, etc.)
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in content planning and project management
Ability to work within monthly and weekly deadlines with exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communications skills
Ability to successfully partner with agencies, writers and designers to develop audience-centric content that meets business objectives
Experience managing content reviews across multiple stakeholders, applying edits and feedback and shepherding content to final, approved state
Skilled in copywriting, proofreading and editing, with attention to detail
Written fluency in Spanish, a plus
Experience with content creation platforms (Canva), social media management platforms (Sprinklr), Adobe Software (Photoshop), and content management systems (Monday.com), a plus
A willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies to meet changing business and industry dynamics
