Duw Media LLC is looking for an Contract Assistant Social Media Manager to assist with day to day tasks of being in the social media management and marketing industry. This is a part-time, entry-level role with the opportunity to be on the ground floor of a boutique Social Media Agency with potential for growth and advancement as the company continues to grow!
About the Role:
The Assistant Social Media Manager supports the Founder and CEO on the management of existing clients partnered with duw as well as tasks associated with duw's day to day operations. This role is responsible for assisting with content ideation and creation, research (trend, platform, competitor), assistance with general platform organization, community engagement, and overall social media strategy. This role is designed as a growing role, with the opportunity to manage more (ideation, drafting, creation, engagement, posting). Performs other responsibilities as assigned. This position will be a freelance/contract position.
Current platforms that you will work with: Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook
Your Immediate duties to start:
- Social Media Community Management and Engagement
- Social Media Backend Administrative Assistance (planning, content syndication, organization)
Qualifications:
- A passion for social media and marketing
- Experience with Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and Facebook
- Up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and platforms
- Experience with TikTok and Reels video short-form content
- Strong copywriter with the ability to concisely tell a story
- Strong communication, multitasking, and analytic skills
- A collaborative and positive attitude
- Possesses a high level of creativity
- Strong organizational skills
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiency
- A self-starter with a passion for the industry, a curious mindset
- Detail oriented individual
- The desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment with the potential for fast-moving growth
- Access to the internet, a computer and a smartphone is required
Additional Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Notion is a plus
- Proficiency with Adobe is a plus
- Proficiency with Canva is a plus
- Experience with Later social media scheduler is a plus
- Position is remote, but located in Chicago with the ability to meet in person/take content on occasion is a plus
