Duties
- Accept assignments or develop original written content tailored to target audiences
- Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in all topics covered
- Edit and proofread drafts to maintain clarity, coherence, and adherence to AP style guidelines
- Collaborate with clients or team members to refine content based on feedback and project goals
- Fact-check all information to uphold journalistic integrity and credibility
- Possible to help with social media accounts by creating engaging posts and monitoring audience interactions
Qualifications
- Proven experience in story telling, in journalism, copywriting, or professional writing roles with a strong portfolio of published work
- Excellent writing skills with mastery of AP style and attention to detail
- Ability to produce high-quality content efficiently under deadlines
- Strong editing, proofreading, and copy editing skills to ensure polished final products
- Knowledge of social media management tools helpful, along with strategies for maximizing reach and engagement
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients or team members across projects
- Experience with research techniques and fact-checking processes to ensure accuracy
