Project-based Freelance Opportunities for Adobe InDesign Specialist
Based on the banks of the Hudson Valley in New Windsor, New York with a showroom in Soho, New York City, USAI Lighting is a leading architectural lighting company with a passion for designing innovative high-performance lighting solutions with a refined aesthetic for architects, lighting designers and interior designers.
We are seeking project-based freelance support with experience in a production designer role. A project-based freelancer is not employed directly by USAI Lighting and is not eligible for company benefits. This opportunity is open to remote work only. We are actively seeking freelancers with immediate availability to support work currently in progress. If not selected, your submission will remain for future consideration as new projects are continuously arising.
Job Type: Temporary, Remote, Hourly, 10-25 hours per week
The Adobe InDesign Specialist role will work collaboratively to support the Product Management and Marketing teams. This role is responsible for implementing documentation updates and generating new documentation using Adobe InDesign and potentially other programs in the Adobe Creative Suite. This documentation will be technical customer-facing documentation with product information, product specifications, and installation instructions. The ideal candidate will be very organized with excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and clear written and verbal communication skills.
· Work collaboratively with product managers and marketing teams to implement edits and revise existing digital Adobe InDesign documentation files
· Demonstrate good judgment and best practices when required to generate new documentation based on existing
· Be responsive and consistent, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines. Set priorities for optimal efficiency and productivity
· Build solid knowledge of our products for within the Product Management department, while following specified guidelines for file naming, management, and organization
Education and Experience
2-5 years of experience using Adobe InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
Advanced proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Maintain your own software licensing
Well-developed skills in Microsoft Office Suite
