Responsibilities
- Writing high-engagement, clear and error-free content that reflects the company’s voice
- Meeting with clients to understand their message, brand voice and target audience
- Propose copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and carrying out projects once they are approved
- Interpreting creative direction and technical information and turning them into persuasive copy concepts
- Collaborating with PR and marketing departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials
- Working with clients to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations
- Write compelling content for ads and marketing purposes
- Produce well-written content that is SEO-friendly and optimized for conversion
- Interpret creative direction and adapt forms from creative briefs into persuasive copy concepts
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with varying deadlines
- Propose copy concepts and underlying strategy behind content and copy ideas
- Take complex ideas and refine them into engaging and innovative copy that can be used in different formats
- Regularly write copy for marketing emails, advertisements, social media posts, advertising scripts, and a myriad of other media
Skills
- Expert command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
- Strong editorial, proofreading, and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure
- Creativity, adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Familiarity with Slack
- Ability to lead client calls and drive projects
- Exceptional skill in social media writing, including use of hashtags and relevant acronyms
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communication or marketing
- Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels
- Proven success in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns for eCommerce brands
- Proficiency with common office software
- Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing
- Passion for writing with an excellent portfolio of work
Additional Information
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position
- 100% remote work
- The number of work hours is based on the number of client accounts you have at any given time
- You have a flexible schedule, but meetings and communications with clients occur between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm EST
- You have the freedom to set your own rate; ideal rate between $30-50/HR DOE
- You won't have to hunt for your own client leads
- The ecosystem comes with various support functions, including scheduling, a designated billing department, and other admin functions so you can focus on what you do best
- You will have designated email and Zoom lines for client communication
