Are you a Forms Designer and Acrobat expert? Our client is seeking a freelance Forms Designer for Editable and Interactive PDFs. You will be responsible for creating visually appealing, user-friendly, and functional interactive PDF forms that allow end-users to input data and information digitally. You will collaborate with various teams to gather requirements, design and develop interactive forms, and ensure they meet usability and accessibility standards. This is remote, 40 hour weekly role.
Portfolio Note: Candidates must have proven experience designing fillable and interactive PDFs in order to be considered for this role.
You Will:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clients, designers, and project managers, to gather requirements for interactive PDF forms
- Understand the purpose and goals of the forms and identify key user interactions and data capture needs
- Design aesthetically pleasing and intuitive form layouts using industry-standard design tools, ensuring consistency with branding guidelines
- Create clear and organized form structures with logically arranged fields and sections
- Implement interactive elements, such as text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdown menus, and digital signatures, using Adobe Acrobat or other relevant software
- Ensure data validation and error-checking mechanisms are in place to enhance user experience
- Ensure that the interactive PDF forms comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) to make them usable by individuals with disabilities
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback to enhance overall usability
- Thoroughly test interactive PDFs on various platforms and devices to identify and address any compatibility issues or glitches
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, user experience (UX) design, or a related field
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, especially Adobe Acrobat for PDF form creation
- Strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles
- Knowledge of industry-standard design and web technologies (HTML, CSS) is a plus
- Experience with data integration and database connectivity is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
