We are looking for a dedicated and highly organized Marketing Assistant to join our team in Monterey, California. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support creative teams and contribute to the marketing and merchandising of educational and children's products. As a Contract to permanent role, it provides the chance for long-term growth and stability within the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Design preliminary catalog layouts based on product specifications and page requirements.
• Collaborate with merchandising teams to refine product descriptions for online and print platforms.
• Coordinate product photography sessions, ensuring high-quality images are captured and approved.
• Facilitate communication with graphic designers to produce print-ready catalog pages.
• Manage the review and approval process for catalog content, ensuring accuracy in pricing and product details.
• Partner with web merchants to ensure products are published online efficiently.
• Maintain and update product information across catalog and online platforms.
• Organize and participate in merchandising category meetings to deepen product knowledge.
• Oversee the creation of infographics, working directly with manufacturers to obtain visual and written content.
• Support efforts to develop convincing marketing materials that enhance product sales.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in marketing, merchandising, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with multiple teams and external partners.
• Background in retail, marketing, or sales, particularly with a sales-driven mindset.
• Interest in educational products or children's merchandise is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with creating engaging visual content and marketing materials.
• Associate's degree preferred, though equivalent experience will be considered.
