As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Marketing Assistant who can bring professionalism, strong communication, and resourcefulness to our internal operations, reporting, content development, and eventually, client-facing responsibilities.
About the RoleThe Marketing Assistant is a versatile, detail-oriented team member who works directly with Matthew to support daily marketing operations, client coordination, reporting, writing, and internal projects. This role requires someone with strong writing ability, strong interpersonal skills, and the confidence to eventually take the lead on client calls as the agency scales.
You’ll support everything from website content writing to reporting, Google Ads setup and management, proposal development, client follow-up, event coordination, operational improvements, and internal marketing tasks. Over time, you will take on more responsibility in campaign management, client communication, and account leadership as your skills and experience grow.
This role is ideal for someone highly resourceful, adaptable, and eager to build a long-term career in marketing and account management.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Coordination & Account Development
- Assist with client communication, meeting preparation, follow-up, and documentation
- Support Matthew on client calls and progressively take the lead as responsibilities expand
- Help manage “needy” or high-touch clients with professionalism and clarity
- Draft proposals and assist with sales calls, including taking structured notes and preparing next steps
- Develop a foundational understanding of full-funnel strategy to support future account responsibilities
SEM & Performance Management
- Learn Google Ads setup, structure, optimization, and best practices
- Assist with building new accounts, implementing tracking, writing ad copy, and maintaining campaigns
- Develop reporting dashboards and prepare performance summaries for client calls
- Support quality review of ads, creative, and messaging created by other team members
Content Writing & Website Support
- Write clear, compelling content for websites, landing pages, email campaigns, proposals, and internal communications
- Support website content planning, page creation, and updates across platforms
- Assist with internal email marketing and announcements
- Provide peer review on ads, short-form content, and copy created by others to ensure clarity and alignment
Reporting, Spreadsheets & Analytics
- Build, maintain, and refine spreadsheets for reporting, tracking, and internal organization
- Assist in the creation of client performance reports and data summaries
- Support marketing analytics tasks as needed, ensuring accuracy and readability
Operations, Team Support & Project Coordination
- Help with team development needs, from small coordination tasks to internal workflow improvements
- Organize and maintain tasks inside ClickUp, including cleanup, structure, and project follow-through
- Assist with swag, event planning, logistics, and one-off internal or external tasks
- Keep projects moving by following up on small tasks and keeping communication clear
What We’re Looking ForRequired
- 2+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communication, or equivalent experience
- Exceptional writing skills—this is a non-negotiable requirement
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional, confident communication style
- Highly resourceful, proactive, and able to move work forward independently
- Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working with data and reporting
- Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable across a variety of tasks
- Ability to learn new platforms (Google Ads, reporting tools, CMS systems) quickly
Preferred
- Experience in marketing, operations, project coordination, or client communication
- Familiarity with website platforms, marketing tools, and performance reporting
- Comfort drafting proposals and supporting sales or discovery calls
- Prior exposure to PPC, SEM, or advertising structures (even if limited)
Added Plus
- Background in college athletics, military, EMT, firefighting, or other team-driven, disciplined environments
- Experience supporting account managers or working in a client-facing environment
