About Us
1 Flight Volleyball Club is a rapidly growing youth volleyball program in the Pacific Northwest, committed to athlete development, community building, and elevating the presence of volleyball in the PNW. We are looking for a creative, motivated social media intern to help expand our digital footprint and tell the story of our athletes, coaches, and club culture.
Position Overview
We are seeking a Social Media Manager to support our daily content creation, manage our online presence, and help us grow our brand across multiple platforms. This is an ideal role for a student studying marketing, digital media, journalism, sports management, communications, or design who needs internship credit — with potential for paid work depending on experience.
Responsibilities
• Create, schedule, and post daily content on Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook for 1 Flight Volleyball Club
• Develop creative concepts to increase engagement and brand awareness
• Capture photos and videos at practices, tournaments, club events, and team activities (as available)
• Edit short-form video content (Reels/TikToks)
• Maintain consistent branding and messaging across all platforms
• Monitor trends in youth sports, volleyball, and social media to inform content strategy
• Track growth metrics and recommend improvements
• Collaborate with club leadership to highlight athletes, teams, and our club culture
• Help strengthen our digital presence across the PNW volleyball community
Qualifications
• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred)
• Ability to receive internship credit through your university or program
• Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, or other editing apps
• Strong writing, storytelling, and visual communication skills
• Knowledge of Instagram and TikTok trends
• Interest in volleyball or youth sports (not required, but a plus!)
• Creative mindset and ability to work independently
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable attending some practices/events for content capture
