Job Overview
The Marketing Manager is responsible for building, executing, and scaling the marketing function for White Cloud Networks. This role begins as a hands-on builder, owning all marketing activities while managing outside contractors and fractional design support. As WCN grows, the Marketing Manager will transition into a leadership role, hiring internal team members and developing a structured marketing department.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable in strategic planning and daily execution, running campaigns, coordinating events, managing vendors, and shaping the brand, while laying the foundation for a scalable, data-driven marketing organization.
Responsibilities
- Own all marketing execution including digital, community, and brand activity
- Manage outside vendors (digital agency, PR/communications, website support, event contractors)
- Develop and maintain annual and quarterly marketing plans
- Coordinate and handle creative needs
- Oversee social channels, content calendars, and basic website updates
- Support new network buildouts with community announcements & launch campaigns
- Manage marketing budget, invoices, and vendor performance
- Build foundational processes, tracking systems, reporting, and KPIs
- Handle event planning: HOAs, fairs, local markets, chamber events
- Track campaign performance, lead flow, and subscriber growth data
Skills & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5–10 years of practical marketing experience, preferred in broadband, telecom, utilities, technology, or growth-stage businesses
- Hands-on execution experience (running campaigns, events, social, email, etc.)
- Proven ability to manage digital agencies and freelance vendors
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret data and translate metrics into actions
- Experience building or scaling a marketing function
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with limited early support
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience launching new markets or products in regional/rural communities
- Basic understanding of paid media (Google, Meta, YouTube)
- Familiarity with website CMS tools and marketing automation platforms
- Experience supporting sales teams (residential + commercial)
- Video production or community relations experience
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Regular local travel for events, community partnerships, and content gathering
- Occasional lifting of event materials (10–25 lbs)
- Some evening or weekend work during launches or community activities
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
