Role Overview:
Swell Media Solutions is seeking a proactive and creative Social Media Coordinator to support our account teams. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, fluent in social media trends, able to capture content, and capable of creating engaging short-form videos. This role involves social listening, community engagement, and performing social care tasks to maintain a positive client presence online.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the creation of social media content, including copywriting aligned with client brand voices, stories, short-form videos and carousels for account managers.
· Conduct social listening to monitor brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activity.
· Perform social care tasks such as responding to comments, messages, and in-feed and outbound engaging with audiences in a timely and professional manner in the voice of the client.
· Support account managers with campaign production, scheduling, and reporting.
· Stay up-to-date with evolving social media trends, platform features, and best practices to optimize client content.
· Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure content meets client expectations and deadlines.
· Help maintain organized content calendars and production workflows.
Qualifications:
· Strong writing and editing skills; able to craft clear, engaging, and brand-appropriate content.
· Fluency with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube) and current trends.
· Experience creating short-form video content using tools like Canva and Adobe Premiere.
· Comfortable performing social listening and engaging in community management.
· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Prior agency experience or familiarity with client-facing work is a plus.
· Self-motivated and able to work independently while collaborating with account teams.
