Job Opening: Remote ASL Interpreter (American Sign Language)
This position we are looking for both remote and onsite workers in the Sacramento area to attend via webinars and Quarterly reviews. This position will have varied hours and could be on very short notice, as well as with an exact date and time scheduled in advance. For Virtual meetings you must have an adequate work station and also high speed internet that will be able to be hard wired to your system. System requirements will be given

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled Remote ASL Interpreter to provide high-quality interpretation services for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing individuals. This role supports virtual meetings, medical appointments, interviews, trainings, and various communication needs across multiple industries.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate real-time ASL interpretation during virtual meetings, calls, and events.
- Interpret conversations between hearing and Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing individuals
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA (when applicable)
- Prepare for assignments by reviewing any provided materials
- Communicate professionally with clients, staff, and team members
- Ensure high-quality audio/video for consistent service delivery
Qualifications
- Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Prior interpreting experience (1+ year preferred)
- RID or BEI certification preferred (not required)
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, and quiet environment
- Ability to manage multiple virtual assignments with professionalism
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
