Job Summary:
Directs the development, management and execution of marketing efforts for the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh including the Club, Hyde Family Community Center, and Camp Radford, by promoting the components of health, wellness and fitness.
It is the responsibility of every staff member to cultivate and maintain positive donor relationships.
Creates, implements and maintains, in conjunction with the CEO and Director of Development, a strategic marketing plan for the Club. This would include key community partnerships, relationships with the media, sponsorships, Club newsletters, publications, press releases, and websites designed to positively promote and market the Club to the community.
Identifies and creates opportunities to build public awareness of Club services, programs and activities. Adapt or create collateral and vehicles for promoting upcoming events or programs to the public and members, including newsletters, public service announcement, flyer, website, etc.
Coordinates with the Director of Development for all special events and functions for both fundraising and awareness purposes.
Works with the CEO, Board, staff, and volunteers to achieve the desired results.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred in the area of marketing, development and nonprofit management.
· Three years proven, successful experience in nonprofit operations, with an emphasis on development, marketing, management, or equivalent experience.
· Successful experience in carrying out the mission of a nonprofit organization.
· Strong verbal, written communication and organizational skills.
· Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and partnerships with Board, staff, volunteers, donors, community groups and other agencies.
· Competency in computer skills including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Power Point, Desktop Publishing, database management, and website maintenance.
· Commitment to role model and promote a life style of health, wellness and fitness.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving history.
· Manage assigned staff and volunteers tied to the department.
· Ability to conceptualize new initiatives.
· Results and goal oriented.
Job Responsibilities:
Marketing Responsibilities:
· Creates, implements and maintains, in conjunction with the CEO and Director of Development, a strategic marketing, fundraising and communications plan for the Club. This would include key community partnerships, relationships with the media, sponsorships, Club newsletters, publications, press releases and websites designed to positively promote and market the Club to the community.
· Promote the area of health, wellness and fitness to our membership.
· Researches, organizes and coordinates assigned special events and/or provides marketing support. Examples include, but not limited to, WineFeast, TurkeyTrot, Golf Outings, and Family Nights.
· Contribute to attaining financial support by building the Club's base support through marketing and public awareness. Soliciting corporations and civic groups for donations and other support for special fundraising.
· Develops collaborative partnerships with Club staff, volunteers, members, supporters, other Clubs, media contacts, consultants and venders, and other not-for-profit organizations to establish professional links within the community.
· Participates in the development and coordinate implementation of all marketing and public relations activities to increase the visibility of Club programs, services and activities.
· Develops and controls marketing and public relations expenditure against budget. Manage vendors and freelance consultants to ensure timely cost-effective delivery of products & service.
· Develops and maintains a highly visible role in the community, with an emphasis on key partnerships and relationship building to benefit the Club. These might include, but not limited to, new and existing individual donors, corporate and other business support, private and community foundations, service clubs, alumni, relationship with Boys & Girls Club of America.
· Represents and supports volunteer efforts through identifying and promoting the Club to create general public awareness.
· Mandated child abuse reporter.
Programming Responsibilities:
- Actively participates and engages at all events related to programming with Club mission to foster community relationships and partnerships with the Unit Directors.
- Attends weekly Programming meetings to collaborate on programming activities to ensure activities are photographed and published for community awareness.
- Fosters member relationships in regards to parent approval of photo usage.
Social Media Web Design:
- Ensure all digital assets adhere to brand guidelines and visual standards.
- Monitor website and social media performance by analyzing data and tracking metrics.
- Conduct usability testing to ensure a positive user experience.
Content Creation:
- Design visual content, including infographics, memes, GIFs, and branded graphics for social media and websites.
- Create high-quality animations and interactive media for digital platforms.
- Develop and edit photos and videos to align with brand messaging.
- Develop and execute social media marketing strategies and content calendars.
- Research industry trends to identify effective ways to reach target audiences.
- Create designs for specific campaigns, such as promotions, sales, or events.
- Design and develop responsive web pages and user-friendly interfaces.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
· Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Ability to go up and down stairs.
· Ability to think clearly and concisely.
· Varied hours - some evening/weekend hours required.

Pay: $45,342.74 - $50,000.00 per year
