This opportunity will be freelance for a one-year duration and hybrid (three days onsite, but starting in September, it will change to a four-day work model) in our client’s Los Angeles, CA office. We are only seeking residents in Los Angeles, CA for this opportunity.

Your Expertise:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in financial writing within asset management or financial services, with the ability to translate complex investment concepts—such as equity markets and portfolio construction—into clear, engaging content.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, develop proof points, and support narratives using quantitative insights; highly proficient in Excel.
- Solid understanding of digital content strategy, including SEO best practices, and familiarity with content distribution channels such as social media, web, email, and presentations.
Your Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal stakeholders, investment professionals, and senior leadership to develop original content
- Create content across channels, including presentations, emails, video scripts, reports, web pages, and marketing collateral
- Refresh and revise existing materials, updating tone, data, and messaging to reflect current goals and timelines
- Conduct interviews and research to gather accurate and compelling insights for content development
- Translate complex financial ideas into accessible, compelling messaging that aligns with brand and compliance standards
- Ensure content is optimized for digital delivery and search visibility
- Manage multiple writing projects, timelines, and stakeholder feedback simultaneously
- Collaborate with design and marketing teams to align visuals and messaging across deliverables
Requirements:
- 5+ years of proven experience in financial writing, preferably within asset management or financial services, with a strong grasp of equity fundamentals, portfolio construction, and investment strategies
- Exceptional ability to translate complex financial topics into clear, engaging content for a range of audiences, including B2B, internal stakeholders, and financial professionals
- Strong editorial skills with a sharp eye for grammar, tone, consistency, and adherence to brand and compliance standards
- Demonstrated experience writing across multi-channel formats, including email, web, presentations, and digital platforms, with familiarity in SEO best practices
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze and interpret data to support content narratives and insights
- Solid understanding of content management systems, digital tools, and marketing workflows, with working knowledge of social media, search, and content marketing strategies
- Highly organized and proactive, with strong time management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a cross-functional, fast-paced team
