Harmonia Rosales Studio is hiring a Social Media Manager (Freelance).
This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape and amplify the digital presence of an internationally recognized fine artist whose work reimagines beauty, power, and myth through the lens of the African diaspora. The Social Media Manager will play a key role in telling that story across platforms, supporting brand visibility, audience engagement, and cultural relevance.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of social media platforms, a strong editorial voice, and the ability to translate high-level artistic concepts into accessible, engaging digital content. They know how to spot trends, build narratives around cultural moments, and engage meaningfully with audiences. They’re proactive, collaborative, and highly organized—able to manage calendars, write sharp copy, give feedback on creative assets, and report on performance metrics with ease.
We’re looking for someone who’s digitally fluent, aesthetically sharp, and excited by the intersections of fine art, culture, and storytelling. Experience in entertainment or art marketing is highly preferred. Bonus if you’ve worked with personal brands or creative studios before. Must be able to work remotely and sync with a Pacific Time schedule.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the official social media accounts for Harmonia Rosales Studio
- including: LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Mailchimp
- Weekly Content Creation for social media accounts.
- Helping develop the overarching strategy and content plan for each platform in conjunction with the Studio’s brand
- Create Mock Social Media Calendar to be used as a foundation for ongoing activity.
- Creating posting plans for upcoming weeks/months/quarters, including identifying and ideating on creative opportunities for bigger cultural moments that are consistent with our existing brand identity
- Managing social media calendar, including copywriting for each platform and posting assets/copy
- Advise on, communicate, and implement best social media practices, capitalizing on real-time trends and activity, creating low-lift content and copywriting.
- Identifying engagement opportunities + responding to comments in a timely manner. Conducting social listening, ensuring relevant content is amplified and engaged with
- Assist in managing day-to-day relationships with the studio’s creative partners on social-first design, providing feedback to ensure the timely execution of campaigns and asset needs.
- Monthly reporting and pulling data to monitor social engagement activity and KPI performance.
- Quarterly internal social media audit of key new followers
- Ad hoc content capture and live coverage for special events.
Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in Entertainment or Fine Art marketing, highly preferred
- Knowledge of social account management, digital marketing principles, and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful social media campaigns
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, trends, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, creative thinker, and problem-solver
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic team environment.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, or other video editing programs preferred.
- Ability to work remotely on Pacific hours
