Foley/Scout Media is seeking a motivated, skilled baseball writer to join our growing team. If you have a passion for baseball and a talent for writing engaging, insightful stories that resonate with fans, we want to hear from you.
Compensation: This freelance role offers revenue share-based pay on a sliding scale per 1,000 page views (for example, 1 million page views = $5,000). With our expanding audience, there’s significant earning potential—the more quality content you produce, the more you can earn.
What You’ll Do:
- Pitch and write multiple baseball stories daily with accurate, engaging headlines that draw readers in.
- Build and publish articles in the CMS using strong SEO best practices to maximize reach and quality.
- Cover breaking news, player analysis, and feature stories with context, clarity and style.
What You’ll Bring:
- 1-2 years of experience in journalism or sports writing, preferably baseball-focused.
- Solid command of AP Style and attention to detail in headline and copywriting.
- A sharp sense for what’s newsworthy with proven ability to write clean, authoritative content.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines without sacrificing accuracy or quality.
