Content Coordinator & Community Liaison – Best Version Media (Part-Time)
Location: Mendham/Chester, NJ (Highly Preferred)

About the Role
We are seeking a talented Content Coordinator & Community Liaison to lead the creation of meaningful, locally-driven stories for Mendham Neighbors Magazine. This role is first and foremost about storytelling and writing — capturing the voice of the community and celebrating its residents and businesses.
This individual will attend local events, connect with families and small business owners, write compelling feature articles, curate a community calendar, and provide updates on our social channels. While there are social media aspects, this is not a social media position — writing, editing, and content creation are the core of this job.
What You’ll Do
- Interview local families and write the Resident Feature for each monthly issue
- Write Business Spotlights, event coverage, and community articles as directed
- Curate and manage a local Calendar of Events
- Attend community events, take photos, and gather story material
- Edit and format contributed content for publication
- Proofread magazine content and coordinate any corrections or updates
- Upload all content to our editorial platform by submission deadlines
- Collaborate on light community engagement via social media (sharing posts, interacting with readers)
Who You Are
- A passionate writer and storyteller, ideally with editorial experience
- Engaged in the Mendham or Chester area, or living nearby
- Comfortable attending local events and connecting with residents and small business owners
- Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Able to juggle multiple responsibilities and meet firm monthly deadlines
- A collaborative spirit who enjoys working independently but also with a small, passionate team
Qualifications
- Proven experience in writing, editing, or content development
- Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Tech-savvy enough to navigate basic publishing tools and upload platforms
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S. as a 1099 contractor
